Bally S9000 with mars Mei 6607 comm error

I have a Bally S9000 that I am trying to rebuild. When I bought it, it was setup with a tito and worked well. It did not have a printer or a bill Validator. I got a printer and that is working well. I picked up a Mei 6607 from slot machines limited. I have it installed and have done a clear and re-program many times following the video on YouTube. I can't seem to get the bill validator comm error to clear. That is the only error I am getting. I don't have another Mei to try. The strange thing is the bill acceptor will cycle as normal and on the MEI it has the solid green light lit?

did you try reseating the interface card?

The MEI solid green light means the status is normal. I'm suspicious of the cash box. Try reseating it a couple of times and see if that helps. You might also try cleaning the inside of the cash box and blow out any dust. If you have another cash box, try switching.

Tried cleaning contacts on interface board, reseated interface card a couple times, checked wiring, pulled out cash box and reseated 4-5 times, each time validator cycled and green light stayed on.

I did some looking around at other posts and pics. On the back of the frame I only have the white molex connected? Do the other wires get connected to anything? On one pic I noticed that someone had those other 2 wire groups hooked up to a pigtail?

A loosely seated MPU can cause a validator comm error. With power off, pull out the MPU then firmly reseat. Also check for bent connector pins.

Checked and verified no issues found. Anyone know of a place that can test the MEI?
