SAVP Dynamic button software versions????

SAVP with Dynamic non-edge lit buttons.
Those that display version 3 at startup work fine, version 99 do not. They will light with the position and version number but they will not work after the machine boots.
Sometimes they go blank, sometimes with a button tilt. I can move the working ones to previous not working positions and they work fine.
What is up with that, I thought they were all the same??
Having a bit of trouble coming up with three more working buttons.
GETT has been able to supply a few version 3, but I need a few more.
