wba 12 ss in a double double bonus poker wont accept bills

hello everyone i have an issue i have a double double bonus poker machine dbv starts up when machine is turned on both green lights light up when machine is on . i insert money it accepts it pauses and returns money.i have gone threw settings and made sure its enabled . i have also gone threw the test screen and when i insert a bill it does register on the screen . otherwise machine works flawless .. any help appreciated

Did this machine ever accept bills for you?

Is the bill you're inserting putting the machine over the credit or hopper limit?

Is it possible that the ID setting on the validator is set to the wrong selection (ID022 instead of ID023, or vice versa)?

Have you tried a $1 bill in good condition to see if it will accept that?

What kind of currency are you inserting? Any chance the BV only accepts $1 or older bills? If the BV is original and never updated it will only accept current $1 bills.

No the validator never worked for me but was told that it did i am using us currency and have only tried a dollar bill several of them how can I change the settings or check the settings to check it its set to id 022 or 023

The dollar bill unit did originally come out of a game king from what I was told it definetly has not been updated in a very long time if ever

If it came from a Game King, it is likely programmed with ID024 (Netplex) protocol. It's not compatible with an IGT Player's Edge Plus machine which we're assuming your machine is, but you haven't posted any photos of your machine and you originally had this post in the IGT S+ (reel slot) section.

First, can we confirm that you have a Player's Edge Plus machine? If you're not sure, post a photo or two of it.

Second, if you do, you'll need to get the validator reprogrammed if it has a flash chip, which WBA 12s have, to ID022/ID023 for it to work on a PE+ machine, or get a different validator that is already programmed with that protocol.

it is a pe+ i got a wba 13ss with the id022/023 eprom the validator cycles apon start up but the 2 green lights barely light up. wont take money at all the red leds on side of unit are solid
