IGT Crystal Dual Player Touch Panel Offline

I have IGT Crystal Dual with the Player Touch Panel Offline.

None of the buttons work either.  (Service, Cash Out, Repeat Bet)

The connector circled that outputs 12V to power up the monitor is not outputting any voltage.

It went offline when I closed the main door.  (Which I was was having an issue with showing as open even when closed). I guess I slammed it too hard.

Any ideas?

Can you try reseating the USB connector?

Yes.  I've also tried swapping out all the USB cables.

Nothing gets it to come back on.

Going with the assumption that the door closure was harder than normal and damaged something. (As an aside - Was this because you had a hard time getting the M door to register as closed?)

There are a lot of potential pathways to troubleshoot, but in trying to work-around a bad panel diagnosis... let's try.....

You mentioned the other buttons would not work.  ( Assume you tested this in the diagnostic menu? )

a) I might power down, disconnect the 12V connector you mentioned, wait 10 seconds and power up; with this connector still removed, retest your buttons in diagnostic mode.

if there is no change....

b) I would take a look at the pinch points of the door for wire damage / shorts

The cabinet harness track is located on the left side of the main door near the printer exit bezel (while it is elevated, two screws hold a black cover)


NOTES: The dynamic player panel is fed by the cabinet controller ( the suitcase )

Upon futher investigation, I did find a wire that had been pinched and stripped, and could have easily hit metal.

I found the fuse F3 for the 12V on the Player board to be open.  I have since ordered a replacement.  Hopefully this is my open (Slot related) problem!


Edit:  Replacing the fuse fixed my issue.

Stoodo, where is this Fuse F3 and what replacement do you install?  Thanks.

My buttons and player panel don't even show up in Diagnostic mode.  I believe they are getting power as both the 12V and 24V green lights are lit on the left side of the deck's control panel near the power feed connector J3.  There is a game image on the dynamic player panel.

The USB connector J2 on the player deck's control board probably should have green light lit, but it doesn't.  The player deck USB connector on the backplane should also have a green light, but it doesn't.  I've switch the USB connections between the Printer and player deck USB,  the backplane USB connectors both lit up green when independently connected to the printer.

I've connected a brand new USB cable between the backplane and the player deck, and I've connected this new USB cable from J26 on the player deck control board to the V 3.4 connector on the back of the dynamic player panel. No change.

I've replaced both mash buttons with brand new LEDs.  I've pressed the little red reset button up in the far right hand corner underneath the player deck.  No change.

Did I mention that I've reseated the RAM sticks, checked battery voltages, and done a Master Reset and wiped everything that could be wiped with the Diagnostic Key?  The SSD has also been wiped and Initiated/formated.  The OS, Ascent and  BIOS files have all bee reloaded. The EKEY works.

Any suggestion is appreciated.
