Quick question:
I acquired another slot (picture attached)
Has 3 reels .. I look at the numbers on the reels and generally they are labeled 1 2 & 3
But these are labelled 2 2 & 3
Does it make a difference that there are 2 with the same number ???? (I assume it does not make a difference)

Someone in the past had probably replaced a reel and did not label it #1. As long as your payout is correct, your good.

I had been looking at the reels and "thought" there's nothing "different" about them, so it wouldn't matter where they would be put.
The seller said it had a "NEW" motherboard .... but nothing - but "NOTHING" works ....Aaaaggghhhh :hissyfit: now looking for a new board (AS 3356-xxx Bally S5500)
Checked voltages over and over several times .. all good!

Really? Or do you mean as long as it pays correctly based on what is showing on the reels? If the strip is wrong he might get a big payout when it has a blank line on that strip.

Try attaching a grabber clip to the 5v line on one of the components. You will need to get a datasheet to determine which pin to grab. Unless you already verified it has 5 volt exactly on the board. Its possible the board has an onboard regulator…in other words your power supply might be putting out 7v or whatever it sends to the game board but the game board has a faulty component like a regulator or diode. Check all diodes on the board.

Also, shouldn’t this topic be moved to whatever brand of machine that is, we are pulling conversation into the General Chat topic.

I get a little confused on this site ... as to where I can post "things" ..
I search and search for where to post and get lost and when I end up on something that says "post' ..... that's where I post - sorry about that  :Scratch-Head:
If you could shift this to where it's supposed to be - I would appreciate it, because then maybe the BIG guys can answer some of my questions ....

If you have nothing on the display, I suspect the MPU is not fully inserted or the power supply is bad. Is the power cord fully inserted into the power supply? The previous owner changed the MPU. Power supply failure on the 5500 is common issue. Change it. PT-65B on Amazon.
