SG-150 intermittent sound

Im working on a SG-150 that has a sound problem. Most of the time the game would start and have no audio. I would have to force the machine into a lockup by pulling a ribbon that forced it to lock up. After reboot audio would work beautifully as long as the machine stayed on.
I pulled the board and looked for trace or component problems but didn’t find anything obvious. I replaced a suspicious capacitor and replaced the pot but now I can’t get audio to work at all.
Are the amplifier ICs problematic on these or are they pretty robust? I don’t detect any shorts across the leads.

One other observation, TR1 doesn’t get warm like TR2, both are TIP32B. I plan on digging out schematics today to see what each of them does.

Im hoping someone with experience on Sigmas will have a suggestion.
