PE+ CRT to LCD conversion - what size LCD

Hi - I have  a late model PE+ has multi-game using a superboard and the bill validator is the DBV-200.  I want to convert to LCD and have read all the threads.  In my case I noticed if I want to go bigger I have an issue in that the Bill Validator is in the way. I removed the cowling around the crt screen and the lamp and signage to the right.  The validator  is about .5-1" above the bottom of the door opening and/or above the old crt.  So if I don't want a big gap at the bottom or part of the top I would need to make sure my screen doesn't impinge on the DBV-200. I would prefer to use all that space above the validator. Any thoughts from anyone.

There were PE+ models with BVs in many different locations. I had one recently where it was in the top glass laying on its side and the bill slot was vertical.
One thing you need to be aware of is that era of IGT used inverted video. Whatever monitor you choose needs to support inverted colors. I could be wrong but I think that limits you to Ceronix or using an aftermarket color inverter board to invert the colors to non-inverted so you can use another monitor.

Hi - yes I have the circuit to correct the inversion but I probably will be converting to a Raspberry Pi to run the slot roms and also use it as a Retrogame box.  In that case it's HDMI out.  I decided to keep it the same size so the best size I found to fit the existing opening is a 15" 4:3 LCD.

That is correct, 15” is what was used when converted.
