avp noob question

im  new to avp and would like to know if i can take my entire brain box 625,out of my g20v2,to look everything over inside of its box,,then when i put it  back in will all still work as it did before removing,or will  i have to ekey  it,,i dont have ekey yet,just wanting to look over insides,i did see from removing lid someone has already upgraded to the 4690 video card,,but i dont want to not be able to play as i have been if that will mess it up,im thinking that if nothing is being changed on it like batts, or cards,or anything,that it should work when i put back in and turn on,?any info would be greatly appreciated,thanks

It should work fine as long as you don't remove the batteries.

ok,thanks for the info,,would not want to feel the wrath of my wife if it messed up anything you know,,,she likes playing the games that are on there now,,i want to learn how to upgrade it,i believe its a 660 now,that someone has already upgraded to the 4690 video card in there,,,but im gonna try to make it a family 20 with entire new brain box,hdd drive and another 4690 if possible

Some family 20 games will not work on G23 due to not having the digital player panel and having buttons like the g23 has. IMO getting at crystal cabinet for the family 20 games is the best option. I was going to do fam20 on a g23 but went with a Crystal dual 23 and I am very happy I went that route.

I agree with Rob wholeheartedly. Tried it a few years ago. You will have limited success that will leave you wanting more.
Get past the higher cost of a Crystal and there's no looking back. You will be much happier. I have no regrets after taking the plunge.

 ,,,thanks guys for the replies,,now i have some serious thinking to do about my g20,,should have asked questions before buying 500 dollars worth of  show boot chips and hdd loaded hard drive with family 20  games on it,,rookie mistake dangit...
