ardac error code 2 on bill acceptor help

I have just transplanted an Ardac bill acceptor part# 1x224-0502 serial 12700872 with the currency acceptor model# 88x4001-17 part# 1x223-0005 serial# 04600969/087. I took this unit out of a poker machine that has a bad power supply and could not test the bill acceptor at that time. I put it in the machine I need a bill accepter in and tested. After several adjustments and a cleaning, I finally got past error code 5 and now I keep getting error code 2 which says, "No run-check machine for credit-in cycle-empty of coins or product return from escrow". This unit does not have a bill collector so the bills would just fall on the inner floor of the arcade (like my other machines). I do not have a manual, nor can I find one online. While I have tinkered with bill acceptors in my other machines, this is my 1st time transferring one to another. I have never messed with the pins or the wires before. I do not have a program or cleaning card. I purchased this old poker machine with this bill acceptor as is with no instructions or paperwork so I'm starting from scratch. The poker machine I installed it in does work, it does accept coins, so I am able to play the machine. It just takes forever to put in quarters and get 100 credits or more. I did add a button to add coins faster, however if you push the button too fast, you get a jam error on the arcade. Thats why I'm hoping to use the bill acceptor for this unit. That particular acceptor model is too old and sloppily throws bills all over the machine.
The best thing for you to do is buy some newer bill acceptors that have stacker cashboxes and run off of 12 volts DC.

I appreciate the reply but I don’t want to spend $200 on a bill collector for a poker machine that I paid $50 and fixed. So I’m hoping to get some kind of bypass or an alternative to add credits quicker if I can’t get this error code deleted. But it’s not necessarily required. I plan on selling this unit and not to many people are willing to pay $300-$400 on this type of poker machine.

Correction: You paid $50, but if you fixed it, you wouldn't be here.
What do you want to bypass?
How fast to add credits?
Poker machines from the 80's era relied on the mechanical counters to tally up all the credits before it sent a total amount to the printer to be printed out.
The only way to speed up tallying the total amount, was to set the printer to print at a dollar amount, rather than quarters.
In your case, set the bill acceptor to pulse out dollar amounts like 1 pulse per dollar....instead of 4 pulses per dollar.
That is done probably be moving a dip switch.
I don't know how to do that with your unit from 1998...lol
