Hi was wondering does there have to be a hopper in my Bally s5500 proslot to do a tam clear on the board I just got? or can it be performed without the hopper?

If you have the hopper install it before clear. If you don't have the hopper you will have to make a jumper plug.

Hi sunrise side how are you I saw the pictures but do you have to get the plug itself on Ebay in order to put the wires into it to make it?

No you can jumper with wire into the connector that is in your cabinet now.

Hi sunrise side how are you? if I get a hopper for my Bally s5500 proslot slotmachine does it only take an a hookup? or can it handle a d hook up? I also have to let you know that the other hopper I had that the motor didn't work in was a model xs1200 are those usually a hookups?

Not sure what this refers to? Most times the motor can be repaired on the hopper if it's actually the motor and not the driver board failed that's on the hopper.

Hi sunrise side how are you? what I'm referring to is the rev letter. there is a rev letter on the hookup end of every hopper some have a rev a and some have a rev d I'm wondering what the xs1200 hopper is? I tried a hopper that had a rev d and my slotmachine didn't take to it. it seemed like it was about to make it run and the pin wheel moved a little but stopped and the number 5 breaker on my toggle switch popped out. so now I know a rev d isn't going to work in it. should I try to get a bally hopper that's got a rev a?

I'm quite sure any REV revision will work. I have swapped hoppers from S5500 and S6000 and they all worked without issue. If it pops a breaker there is a problem with the board on the hopper or the motor on the hopper or the hopper is overloading due to a mechanical binding.

Yes try another board. If it's not the board it may be the gearmotor . Not sure what adjusting screw you are referring to at the hopper bowl??

Hi sunrise side how are you? The screw I'm talking about is a kind of spring loaded to adjust the pin wheel to were its looser or has more tension. so if a new board doesn't work should I try to adjust the screw by the hopper bowl to see if it makes the pinwheel turn like its suppose to and work?

There is no adjusting screw for the pinwheel. If you are referring to the 4 screws with springs on the outside edge of the bowl, those should be snugged up. Not adjustable. Maybe you have one or more of the 3 screws on the rubber agitator that holds the agitator, shelf wheel, and pinwheel assembly together, and one or more of the screws is to long and preventing the assembly from rotating?

Hi how do you check those screws? and are they suppose to be a certain length like 6 inches?
