BB2 Top Box Lost Communication

Hi
 Is there a way around this error on a BB2 other than installing a TSE TSE Board?  Games like Monopoly Up Up & Away, Top Gun ect., all come up with this error when installed. I do have 1 BB2 with a TSE installed and they play fine, just thought there might be a way around the error by some how disabling the top box. Have 4 more BB2 machines and really would like to install different games without buying 4 more Tse Boards.

Short answer is no.

You will need a TSE Board or in this case for those games, "The Fooler" board to get past the Top Box errors. Both are just as expensive depending on who you are buying from. Those games do not have an option to disable it in game setup either since the Top Box IS the bonus if you get where I am coming from.

Quick question, since this is a TSE Board Topic.

I have a BB2 that I occasionally use as a 1.5 by hooking up the VGA out from the TSE, which works great.

But, with a BB2 CPU in the machine and reconfigured for Dual Screen via the CPU NXT2, I am unable to play Time Machine  due to the Top Box Lost Communication Error.

I thought that using the TSE would resolve that error. It's still connected to J21 on the Backplane.

Am I missing something? Is there a generic Top Box Card?

Since there is no Fooler CF card inserted in the TSE Board, that is why you’re getting Top Box Communication Lost with Time Machine. WMS actually made a Fooler CF card for Time Machine. Without that card you won’t get past “Top Box Communication Lost”

I checked my files and did not see any Top Box Card for that Game.

Guess I'll have to look around and see who's got one for sale.
