We've had so much fun enjoying our 1090-1 El Rancho machine in our home bar that we decided to take a road trip last weekend to the Houston area to pick up a 1088 Magnificent 7's machine we found for sale online. While we were in that area, a quick Facebook Marketplace search revealed another 1090 Dollars machine for sale for only 75$ so we snatched that one up too. Both machines play but need a few repairs so that's on the to do list. I would have rathered staying with all quarter machines but for the price I couldn't pass it up. Anybody know where I can purchase a large quantity of the 38MM one dollar tokens for it? It only came with a handful of tokens.

My wife said I have to stop at three machines but we will see how long that lasts!! Lol

Those are great old machines!  :yes: Back when Las Vegas was, well... the REAL Las Vegas before it changed into the "we don't care about you; give us your money for everything" place.

You're welcome to reply with a Want To Buy (WTB) reply and I'll move it to the NLG classifieds. Some of our members carry these tokens I believe. If you ever become a contributing member, you get access to buy and sell in the classifieds. Regular member are allows to have WTB ads since it helps out our members and vendors.

These machines have a tendency to reproduce. One day, there will just be another, then another...
You have three reel type machines.
Now you need a video poker, or blackjack... maybe keno... maybe a nice multi poker game?  :Tongue_Out:

Thanks Shortrackskater for the reply. I'm slowly working my way to becoming a contributing member. I think my next machine will need to be a Pinball since I've had a few requests for one from my friends and family. I have a lead on some tokens from a guy in New Orleans so if that doesn't pan out I'll reply again with a WTB. This site has been a great source of info for these old machines.

Short track,

Back in the day drinks and cigarettes were free.
Definitely not those plastic cup computerized drinks out of the hose.

Shrimp cocktails were 50 cents.
All you could eat buffet was 99 cents.

Comp meal tickets no problem for frequent guests.

 Nice collection of machines.  They are like potato chips.  You just can't have one.  Also, your "1088 Magnificent 7's machine"....  Bally never made a Magnificent 7's machine.  The belly glass on that machine came from a Universal MFG. magnificent 7's machine.  Not that it really matters.

I have one of these, from Harbor Freight. What helps also is to remove the reel bundle and hopper. And especially -  if (sorry WHEN) you buy another machine, make sure to remove the hopper if you lay the unit flat. And to take a step further, it's still recommended to throughly check the machine as it's likely there are already stray coins on the bottom that have now potentially moved. And you don't want those to create unwanted "new circuits."  :24:

I started a small "rant" on this topic after reading the multiple articles on how/what LV has become. I'm glad I was able to visit there at the tail end of "back in the day" and did experience many of those deals.

Yeah, I had looked at a couple of those carts. My truck is pretty tall so I will probably buy this one from Vevor only since it goes up a bit higher. It's about the same price as the ones from Harbor Freight.
