We have a Sigma Jokers Wild with Double down option model B9-013 .
The Computer Chip for Video has 2 broken pins (Don't ask.. yep broke taking the chip out.)
On the user manual its Graphics ROM #6.

So needless to say the monitor is messed up. was working perfectly!
(should not have touched it)

Here is a pic of the board part #, Video ROM area of the board, manual page and chip (Missing piece of paper had ROM 6)

I need the ROM 6 chip I am pointing too.

There should be a stub of the original leg
Just put the eeprom into the socket, then put a component leg into the socket and solder the pin to the nub.
We all know its a panic reaction at first but we have all done it.

That eeprom can be copied easily too, as long as the leg didn’t pull completely out of the housing.

Just bent pin that broke when straightening back eprom and didn't pull out

Got pins soldered in,...I may have damaged chip w/ too much heat..

Yeah, that should be a pretty quick hit with the solder iron.
I typically push the component leg into the socket and bend it over the top of the erprom. This helps with heat sinking.
Then pre tin the lead
Then hit it with a blob of solder that hopefully flows onto the exposed broken leg.
I don’t know if you can completely kill an eeprom by heating one leg though. What leg is broken?

There were 3. 1 on one side at the end, 2 on the othe opposite side at the end, broke when trying to straighten

Before I attempted to remove and re-seat. there were lines on the monitor when I turned the machine on. We usually unplug it when we are not playing it or leave for a few days or weeks

In the meantime put a piece of tape or something over the crystal on the eprom. If that gets too much UV light it can start erasing it. It takes a lot but you don’t want to take any risks.
If you want to mail the eeprom to me I can try copying it. Send me a PM if you want to try that.

Can you even see the broken legs?

The other one, it lit up (like a light) did not when I turned machine off then on again.

Eeproms do not illuminate willingly.
The only way I know to make that happen is if it’s installed backwards, over voltage or installed in a socket that is intended for something else.
That window is the UV erase window.
I suppose its possible the memory retention portion of the eeprom is intact but I have no experience with that.
You might reach out to K-Lar Slot repair to see if they happen to have any of those proms in parts bins.you can find their contact information on the supporting vendor’s on the NLG home page.

I looked again at the picture with the blue sockets, it appears to me the eeproms are inserted backwards. Do you have a picture from before you removed them?
Typically all ICs face the same direction on a board and the half moon cut out is facing the other way, opposite the direction the proms are installed. Im confident they are backwards.
I think they are all in backwards. If they are its likely they are all fried….or if you reverse them and there is a guardian angel it might work.

I concur with Chris! All your other IC's have the notch facing the other direction. (Click on image)

Very unfortunate.
Several of us have started copying the eeprom when we lift them. You need to have a reader/writer but then you have a copy for future use/emergency!
