Trouble with my Tito on a Bally Alpha

   I am a huge fan of Marc's Arduino Tito, I have one on all of my machines, and have never had a problem.... until i  got an Alpha.  I have tried everything.  Putting it on com2, swapping tx/Rx, using different DB9 connectors, various arduino boards, I am at the end of my rope now.  I get the fast flashing light, therefore it is connected and communicating, Legacy Bonuses is enabled, my attendant button is working, I have tested the functionality on non Bally machines and it works like a charm.  Does anyone have any idea what else it could be?   

My DB9 is 5 going to 1 ground on the 5pin connector then 3-2 and 2-3. This configuration gives me the fast blinking light on my arduino. 
I am willing to try anything at this point.

What exactly do you have? Bally Alpha 1 or Alpha 2 ?

It is the Alpha 1.

I have an S9000 which is an Alpha 1. It has a Bettor TITO board which plugs into COM 1 on the backplane per the attached photo.

Any chance you could send me a better picture of the wires? Thats where I am plugging in at, but I might have my wires upside down.
