WBA-11-SS in IGT S Plus not accepting bills makes clicks and lights flicker

WBA-11-SS in S Plus. Bezel lights up. Accepts bills and drops where cash box would be when in test mode but when in normal operation when a bill is inserted it makes some clicking noises and lights flicker and then rejects bill. Any help would be appreciated

It's good that the bezel is lighting up - that means the acceptor is ready to take bills.
However, it sounds like the gears between the cashbox and the transport aren't meshed together correctly.

First check to see if any gear teeth are broken.
Then, make sure the transport and head are fully inserted completely all the way rearward and seated in.
That way the gears on the back will come into full contact with the gears on top of the cashbox, when you slide it in.

Wondering...does your BV take the newer bills with the large heads?
Nowadays, the only bills that you see with the small heads is the one dollar bill with George Washington on it.

Thanks for the help! I haven't noticed any broken teeth. I have tried 3 different cash boxes all with the exact same result. I've only been testing with $1's so far actually using the same bills that would drop down to where the box would be in testing mode. There is a chip labeled "Ido22-23 New$20" in the unit so I believed it should at least accept the new $20? I do have another transport and head, however im assuming I'd have to get a chip to be able to try another validator?

In the NLG File System, look for the S Plus Diagnostic Cards .pdf file.
On Page 6. is the Output Tests you can perform.
Output #26 Function tells you, that after pressing the Spin Reels button, if the DBV is enabled.
If not, then you need a SET chip to re-enable the validator.
