Pe+ MultiPoker ceronix lcd install

I installed a what I thought was a plug and play ceronix lcd monitor. When I got to auto setup I get a smeared picture flickering and then an out of range message when pressing any of the buttons on the screen. It works perfectly fine in a red White and Blue machine. I put it in the rwb machine and went into the menu and reset to factory and swapped it back into the poker machine and still the same issue. I read somewhere it could be a resolution issue. What type of machine is the red, white, and blue?  The PE+ machine uses inverted video signals and will not work without a monitor specifically designed to support it.

IF the LCD monitor can be set to a standard resolution and it doesn’t support inverted video, you will get a picture but the colors will be inverted. Pink, baby blue and pale yellow if I recall. Start by going through the resolution settings while connected to the game.
Are you positive the game was putting video out? Why did you replace the CRT?

The colors are the right colors it appears to be zoomed way in on something and smeared across the screen. Can't open the menu. The crt worked in the poker machine. The one in the rwb was the bad one but didnt put the lcd in it cause the screen bezel in the door doesnt allow the door to shut all the way. I took poker screen out and put it in the rwb and then the lcd in the poker machine. Whats difference between pe and pe plus? They both have the super board. The rwb has a internal bill validator and the poker dont. The poker game chip says pe+ on it. Think i might swap game chips over to another board and see if that changes anything. Would the backplane have anything to do with this? I have a different one I could put in.

No difference in video output, both are standard resolution inverted colors. The only difference on a plus is that it has support for a BV and multi game.
Most likely you need to remove the video source altogether and then you should be able to get into the setup menu on the monitor. Sounds to me like you have a new medium or high resolution monitor connected to a standard resolution game.
You do not use the CRT bezel on a flat panel monitor. It gets removed and you have to configure a way to seal the door to the screen to prevent light leak.

My suggestion is to stick with a Ceronix 1492 monitor, they have great pictures and are very robust.

Red white blue. Lol yeah I swapped a harness and chassis over from a different machine that had working monitor but a different style molex plug on it and put the lcd in that machine and the 1492 in the poker machine for now until I figure out the culprit.

If you have a 1492 chassis that needs work I can certainly help with that. I work on those all the time.
