Credits meter

Is there a way to clear my credits meter it is stuck on 7770.it won't count down but it will count up in points when you win bit when the credits is used it won't let me clear the 7770 on the meter .how do I fix this

Hi John,

If performing an ALL CLEAR reset doesn't restore the LED to normal then first check the plug on the backside of the LED display to make sure it's seated on the board pins. Try unplugging and plugging back in a couple of times (main power off) in the event there's corrosion on the pins. Should the display still readout incorrectly then it likely that there's a bad logic chip on the LED board or on the main CPU board. I'd change the logic chips on the LED board first. There are two decoder/driver chips and two transistor array chips.

Problem solved ,I took your advise and I plugged in and unplugged the wireing harness several times no change and I did it to the one plug with a shit ton of wires and I turned the machine on it was good to go then when I went to shut the door it did it again and I noticed where the door hinges are you have that harness of wires well I giggled it around and it came back to life so problem figured out now I have to fix the short ..how am I going to do this ,time to pull the dvm.

Well done!

That plug (CN-7) gets a workout every time the main door is opened or closed. Check each wire to make sure it hasn't been pulled out of the Molex plug or broken off of the terminal. If the problem continues unplug CN-7 and check the male and female connectors in the plug, it's easier to spot a connector that's been pushed or pulled into the plugs.
