bluebird bill acceptor question

i posted this question in the bill acceptor forum, but no replies. if this doesnt belong feel free to remove.

Williams BB1 or 2 , not sure - bill acceptor error.  its a wba -12 . id 24. i tired it in my IGT s2000, which has a wba-13 id 24. no communication.  Is the acceptor bad or are the protocols different?  Are there different ID 24's ?

Williams machine uses IDO03.  Igt uses the IDO024.  If the transport of your bv is wba13 you can have a option made for the appropriate software for your bv for WMS.  And yes. There are different firm ware for the bv's for the update of the currency they accept.  Some are limited but the bb1 and s2k should accept all current US currency with the latest firmware.

With old firmware you will still be able to accept 1s regardless.

Does the bv cycle?  Are the 2 LEDs lit on the side when the machine is on?

Go download yourself a copy of the manual_WBA Diagnostic_Flip_Print cards from the NLG File System.
You can run a bunch of validator tests.
