Wms 40x dotmation dot matrix power supply help
« on: November 28, 2025, 07:32:22 pm »
Had an unfortunate accident while working on another machine where i had a short circuit on 110v and in turn popped a bunch of capacitors and a resistor (at least)in the dotmatrix display its self. The resistor is burned right up and cannot id it at all.  There is a label of R19 with ZD5 under it.  Anyone know the value of that resistor? Also what else do I need to check on the power supply so I can order everything at once (and not blow anything else up)? I've searched for info on this but no luck so far.  It's a international power sources model pu110 12a.

So I replaced it with the ATX style supply with the instructions I found on here.  Works good,  just make sure all the connections are made.

Are you still needing the value of the resistor?

I'm all good now. The old supply is now in the donor pile. Thanks though
