Bally 1090 Win Meter

Anybody know where I can purchase a win meter for a Bally 1090 machine? Mine didn't have one when I bought it. This is the digital one that's on my 1090-1 and I assume it would also work on a regular 1090. My 1088 has a mechanical one and I assume that one would also work for the 1090.

I don't think I have any, but I'll try and find the box of parts tomorrow.  I'm in the middle of some construction and the slot parts got moved and buried in piles of junk.

I built a replacement meter for the 1090 from an electronic counter kit from Amazon.
Had to modify the readouts and build a case.

What did you have to modify on the readout? All the ones I've seen on Amazon that look like they might fit the cabinet are 6 digit readouts. I really didn't even consider building a new case for one but I suppose that is an option. Not my favorite option but an option nonetheless.

Also, your reel tapes look much better than mine. Do you know where I can get new ones for that 1090?

Used a 100’s counter that will go to 999.
It’s a kit and there’re red and green buttons to count up and reset.
The case I made from plexiglass.
Plus there is some wiring and relays involved.
The read outs were meant to be soldered onto the board.
Moved them to the end of the circuit board using wires.

Regarding the reel tapes, I use an automotive cleaning wax to clean the reel tapes.
I think there’re a few companies that sell reproduction tapes.
The original tapes have id numbers on the bottom of each one

I’ve had several late model 1088/1090 EM machines with the electronic meters but have never found any Bally white paper on the meters. Personally I don’t like the red readout because the numbers are so small.

BHerpin,

 I have a couple cases of NOS and used meters but I too am away from my stock. If you don’t find anything, check back with me in a month or so. I may be able to help you out.

Regarding reel tapes, Novus 2 does a great job of cleaning them up. For replacements, Scott Bennett most likely has the strips as NOS or very clean takeoffs.

no luck on the win meter.  Looks like I just have a couple of the metal shell "tab" meters for coin in. coin out, etc.
