I have 2 BB2 cabinets in my game room. I set up a TITO@home board on the video cabinet I have and it worked fine once I put the proper jurisdiction chip in it.  I wanted to install the same board on my BB2 reel dedicated cabinet that has Alice in it. I configured the game just as I did my other one, using COMM1 as the port. I enabled legacy bonusing as directed, but the TITO board never shows a "link" light so the free play button does not do anything.  I took the working TITO from the other game and moved it over, and it did the same thing in the Alice cabinet. I then tried to clear Alice and reinstall using COMM2 instead of COMM1 (physically moving the cable of course)... same result, no link light on the TITO board.  I have checked the power LEDs on the right side and all of them are solid green. Checked the jumpers for both COMM ports and they are set for RS232.

Why would both COMM ports be offline? Is there some other jumper that has them disabled for some reason? What else can I check to try and get this working?

I had a backplane that comm 1 was dead and eventually 2 died. Had to get a new one. I'll bet if you swap those in your machines you will see the issue follow the backplane. Though the time in that I would just get a new backplane as they are cheap enough at around $50. I read the BB1, 2, & 3 all use the same backplane. The BB1 is green. 2 & 3 blue. Good Luck.
