Bally 889-B Reset after 777 Super Jackpot on the 3rd Payline

Hi, hopefully someone here can help.

I received a Bally 889-B for Christmas and the person I purchased if from assured me it would never hit the super jackpot. Sure enough it did.

We had a 100 coin payout earlier and located the reset button behind the coin hopper. That worked just fine until it hit the 777 on the third payline. It now just rings and rings and rings and of course it wants the attendant to reset and pay me. We purchased one of the 2341 keys but it does not fit the key slot on the upper right side of the cabinet.

Is there another key? Any suggestions on where to purchase? Is there another reset button somewhere? The manual that we located was a little vague on procedures as to how to fix this.

But... for starters, can you access the back contacts of that key switch? If so, you can just take a jumper wire and run it across the two briefly. Be careful not to make contact with anything else!

the game kinda wants you to use a key to reset the progressive jackpot, but you don't need to.

the main issue is when the game is in jackpot lockup, a inserted coin dumps out to the tray.  The simple options are:

1] open the door and operate the coin switch below the coin mech with your finger
2] pull the "spike" sticking out if the top of the handle box toward you and spin the reels.  In the pic below, the spike is near the right edge above the "8" written in sharpie

either of those should get you out of lockup.
