Printing Posts

I recently tried to print out a post to have handy in my notebook. When I go to print it using the print button at the top of the post, it prints but does not print any of the reference pictures that were in the post? Am I doing something wrong or is there a "setting" I have to adjust? Didn't see any other posts with this issue, but I can't believe this hasn't come up before now??? A picture is worth a thousand words, and I would sure like to have them included!

Far as I know it's set up to print text only. What does work is if you save the page on your computer which (at least on mine) saves as a .html document. From there you can print the page with photos. You can also change that to save as a .png file. When you open it, you may have to reduce the size, and then print.
Someone else may have a better idea!

The only other option is to print the text using the format that is compiled using the print button then go back and click on each photo and capture/print them separately.
Simple Machines Forum is just that, simple. I suspect if we wanted a more advanced service it would take us out of the volunteer/free status!
Considering most of us have printed maybe once or twice I think what we have is sufficient.

You can also use the Microsoft Snipping tool.
This will grab anything you choose on the screen.

You can print from this or alternatively paste into Microsoft Word, size and choose how much goes on each page, add options like doublesided printing if your printer supports it. Perhaps change the pics to mono to save on ink/toner etc.

Thank you all for the clarification and tips. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a setting I missed or something I had to toggle on to get the photos to print.

Have you tried just printing using your web browser's Print function? It should be under File > Print, or press Ctrl+P to bring up the dialog box for it. At least you'd get the preview-sized photos that are attached to the posts.
