Newbie with IGT G-23 Game king

Hello all!  Glad to have found this forum!  I just brought home a G-23 game king that i bought on facebook market place.  This is my first "slot" machine of any kind.  It was working when I picked it up but once I got it home and turned it on, it gives me a Validation host not available error.  Protocol error - validation system failure SAS-1.  After reading it seems to me like this error is related to the TITO setup.  Is this correct?  I removed the cover and found a little board labeled UNO that was just hanging in there.  One of the wire harness containing 2 wires had come unhooked.  I have a couple of questions about this. 

1. Can I remove this TITO and just play with out it?
2. If I need it, does anyone have instructions on how this is supposed to be connected?  I need this because several wired have become unplugged.
3. Do I need the Diag key and the other one (I forgot what it is called) to make changes to the menu?

Sorry for the dumb questions but just trying to get started with this thing.  Would very much like to get it back up and running!

Yes, you can use the machine without the tito board, but you'll have to go into the menu options and change some settings so the machine isn't looking for it.  In order to do that you'll need Ekey 7.  When you can find one they seem to run around $400.  Sometimes you can find them for less if you're lucky.

Take a picture of what you think is your TITO card and we may be able to help you figure out the wiring for it.  Pictures must be less than 1MB in size in order to post, so resize as necessary to get below that threshold.

I am having trouble getting the picture small enough to attach.  Weird thing is that the machine booted and was playable when I went home for lunch.  Maybe the 2 wires that are disconnected are not used?  Anyway it was working pretty well except that I had no video on the upper monitor.  Now I have to figure that out.  It was also working when I picked the machine up at the previous owners.  Any hints on what to look towards there?  One of the DVI cables was unplugged when I got it home.  I think it was the one to the upper screen.  I plugged it in to the port where it naturally laid which was a horizontal cgi port.  There is another free port that is vertical.  Where is the upper monitor supposed to be connected?

Use the vertical port.

I will give that a shot when I get home.  I am guessing that it needs to be connected to that port before the machine is powered on for it to connect to the monitor properly?

You have to use both ports from MPU mainboard or both ports from the vertical add-on video card (preferred for MLD games).

Machine will play with correct tito settings without a tito board connected.  All cashouts will go to handpay and service button will not add credits. Machine will not except tickets either until you add the tito card.

So got home last night and connected the upper monitor to the vertical port.  The lower monitor already was.  The game booted and sure enough had glorious video on the upper screen!!  Thank you guys for the knowledge there!  Now I want to figure out 2 other things.

1. I only have 1 cent denomination option.  I know I need to purchase an ekey 7 to fix that.
2. My machine does not show categories (eg. slots, keno, poker) on the game selection screen.  It just has all of the games clumped together in one long menu.  I think there are over 100 of them.  I have been reading and found family 14, family 20, and 87a or something like that.  Anyway I do not have any software on a dongle or anything like that.  How do I go about getting a software package with games on it?  I have seen numerous videos of people doing complete wipes of their machines and he says to reinstall your software.  Where can I obtain that software?  I also read a little about show bios so that you don't need license dongle for each game.  I am kind of confused about all of that.  I understand the need for the ekey and diagnostic key and if I can't make my game have the categories on the game selection screen without spending a ton of money I will leave that part alone.  Just seeing if any of you experts that have already helped me get the machine running could point me in the right direction on this issue.  Thanks again!!
