I have a Bally Upright GameMaker V7200 that has a WBA-11-SS transport (w/ RS-232 board) and a WBA-10-SS Acceptor.
Diagnostics:
1. On start up...nothing, no click, no sound, just a red circle-slash on the machine and red lights in the acceptor. Setup also shows no info for unit (no coms).
2. Checked harness in the machine (diagram attached)...have 5VDC (pin 1 to pin 9/10) and 12VDC (pin 2 to pin 9/10)
3. Ran a P10 clear chip (Dip 7+8 ON), setup the WBA...same results as #1.
4. Put the WBA unit on a bench power supply (12.6VDC pin 1 to pin 7)...just a click, then nothing, no LEDs by the dip switches, nothing.
5. Bought a new EPROMM (ID003 V3.60-30), installed in the transport...same results as #1.
6. Started checking pinouts and diagrams and here is what I found:
A. I have voltage (5 and 12 VDC) on the V7200 harness and the whole harness checks out per the diagram (attached).
B. The WBA harness checks out per the manual circuit diagram (attached).
C. The WBA pinout Table (attached) does not match the circuit diagram.
D. Neither the WBA pinout table or circuit diagram match the V7200 diagram.
E. The WBA pinout and circuit diagram call for 12VDC on 2 pins, but the V7200 harness only shows 12VDC and 5VDC supplied.
What gives? Something is not adding up. Is there a chance the WBA unit could be wired wrong? Is there a chance the V7200 diagram is wrong? If anyone has seen anything similar, let me know your thoughts.
