Scammer Alert

I'm not sure where to post this, I'll post here in hopes of saving some of the people looking to buy parts the trouble. Moderators, move it if you see fit. There is a Facebook group called "Slot Machines & Parts Sales, it has about 9000 members. There is a member there who goes by KC Kace, he posts often. I ordered parts from him last December 26, said he would ship the next day. I took me 10 days to get a tracking number, that didn't track. It took me another 3 days to get him the ship the items. When the items arrived he didn't ship everything I ordered. I've sent multiple messages (through Facebook messenger) and texts. Tried calling several times and he doesn't answer, his voice message box is full. Because I paid with family and friends I'm out of luck. Don't make my mistake. Approach with extreme caution.

Well for what it's worth, I've gotten several parts from him. There have been times when his shipping times have been on the delayed side but everything I've ordered has gotten here eventually. I would say he is disorganized and maybe busy but from my perspective he has not been a scammer... at least not yet.

I bought from him, no problems. My parts came very well packed and he provided a tracking number.

i dont believe KC is a scammer i think he is just a one man operation and slow to update and ship stuff.  unfortunately for him that will be his downfall. when people want parts they want them in a timely manner, they dont want to have to beg for updates.

He did respond on Sunday, said he would refund my money Monday. He didn't.

Perhaps, but it was a Venmo transaction. Venmo runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

FWIW  I bought from him couple weeks ago.  Item did arrive as expected & was well packed.  I did get a tracking #.  He was slow to respond at times.  Was actually looking for something else to order that I saw the other day; but can't find group at all this eve.

I think he may have too. Just a further update, refund was supposed to be issued Monday. Still no refund as of today. I'm chocking it up to experience, your experience may be different. I can see that some of you actually received your parts. As for me, once I've been burned and ignored I'm done.

That really sucks. And through Venmo it’s gone you can’t make them credit it back. I’m so Leary of dealing with anyone outside of here that’s not an established supplier. I’ve been burned twice on facebook

If you're not sure, ALWAYS use Paypal Goods and Services. And use your Credit Card!  All you have to do is add 3% to cover the fees and the seller shouldn't have ANY issue with that. The seller STILL gets "all their money" asking price. YOU pay the 3% for piece of mind. Or think of it as 3% for "insurance".   $1,000 purchase?? I'll pay $30 for peace of mind ANY day.

Of course "Friends" is perfectly fine for sellers/people you know and trust.

Doing that will cause the seller to receive a 1099K from PAYPAL.   A pain in the ass to deal with when filing taxes.

That's federal, in my state  it's $600 so have to deal with it from paypal and ebay
