ChamII+ STA firmware v2.11
« on: January 25, 2026, 01:29:26 pm »
Hi, does anyone have a dump of STA v2.11 (non BA) for the ChamII+ (Mikohn103) or know if it's in the forum files section? My controller has v2.07 and I'm having a timing issue with an S2000. I have read elsewhere on this forum that v2.11 fixes this. It currently shows 'progressive link down' every 30 seconds or so and then works normally. Thank you.

Can you give us more information on the type of machine you are using the Progressive unit on?
I have three or more machines running 207 or lower with no issues using them on S2000 machines.
Sometimes the proper SG chip will fix your problem easier than a firmware change.

It's an S2000 with 1270 enhanced board running Triple Butterfly 7s progressive. I believe it previously had a Spectrum display as it used to show netplex progressive down at startup. It also was single denom of 1c, which I upgraded to multi (1c, 2c, 3c,5c), which has been working great. I set up the ChamII+ following the multidenom guide in these forums. It doesn't switch the progressive amount or display with each denom selected and it randomly shows progressive link down for a few seconds or a bit longer. Otherwise progressive is working and the amount counts up as you play credits. Thank you for any help with this.

This is the only document I could find.
I tried it a few years ago and was unsuccessful.
I also do not have 2.11 and the document said his had 2.11.
2.09 is the latest I have.
Try it maybe you'll pick up something that I missed

That is the same doc I followed and filled in some blanks/differences from other guides found here and elsewhere. I believe the newer fw adds these features and corrects timing, but it's all guessing without fw chagelogs.

Interesting qbert ty. It seems only for comms issue which I believe I'm seeing. Interesting note in changelog "STA v2.11 is intended for use with any Mikohn/PGIC controller." So maybe other devices share the same fw?

Spoke to someone online who is in Germany. He has other versions of the STA firmware including v2.11 but no way to dump them. Putting this out there to see if anyone else may have these versions to share.

v2.11 (2005)
v1.61 (2002)
v1.41 (1997)

Thank you.

If someone could remind me on Monday evening E.S.T,  I'll look in my stash.
I had a lot of this stuff for those signs a long time ago.
