Bally S9000 No Sound

Does anyone know what would cause a no sound situation? I did have sound, but sounded like a loose wire somewhere...even know I checked all the wires that I could think of. The sound during game play would crackle a bit, then would sound mono at times..very low...not the stereo sound. Finally...no sound at all. Can I test the output by plugging headphones into the jack?  (I'm not home and just thought of that)

Typically caused by bad audio amplifier, do you have a spare audio amp you can try?

I do not.  I plugged old computer speakers into the out jack, and they work perfectly.  Actually sounds better then the original.  Where is the audio amp located?

That was it! Thank you!!!! I never knew what those 2 boxes were for. I thought it was something that was used in casino days. I found my spare, but when I went to change it, the one that was already in there wasn't pushed in all the way and loose. Once I pushed it in, it locked into place and my sound was restored. The machine was recently moved, so that may have loosened it. All good now. Thank you again
