Removing knob from IGT Slot lever arm

Has anyone removed the black knob from the end of the lever arm on an IGT slot machine?

I was hoping it was just threaded on... but I've tried turning it... but it doesn't seem to want to turn...

Turn it to the left (unscrew it), you have to apply a little force because there may be some Loctite on the threads.

I’m thinking about replacing the black knob… I have a #2 pool ball that I want to try to drill and tap to use as the knob…

I’m not even sure why I have a pool ball laying around… but it’s got my favorite # on it… ;)
