What kind of bill validator do I need
« on: May 07, 2026, 07:43:38 am »
I have an IGT Universal Slant. Currently there is a MEI SCN6612U in it. It reads bills fine but won't read tickets no matter how you put them in it (forwards, backwards or upside down). Settings are correct. I think the sensor is bad. So I am going to replace it but I have been thinking I needed the 6612 this whole time , but looking at it now (picture below) I think that it is the wrong validator. This is downstacking, right? If so, wouldn't the 6602U be the correct unit for this machine?

You didn't mention if you have a TITO board installed in the cabinet?
It's needed, for accepting vouchers.

Yeah, I put in a TITO@Home. It does everything it's supposed to except let the validator take in vouchers.

Yes 6602U would be correct.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.
