IGT S2000 Double 5x Pay button bet amount activation
« on: May 28, 2026, 06:25:45 pm »
I'm wanting to use a deck button to change between bet amounts. ($1, $5, $10 and $25)  I can do it if I had the touch pad (which I don't), but rather use a physical deck button.  In the menu, I ONLY have the touch pad option.
I've already installed the button, but from all I've read, seems like the chips I have are preventing that option to become a reality.
Can someone help point me in the right direction to get this working?  One thing I read says I should replace version chip to VS012CX1. (I have an Enhanced Board.) Does that sound right?
I'll also add that I wouldn't mind getting a chip with a higher %.  I think mine is 94%.....

On my MPU:
Version Chip: VS011GX1
Stepper Base: SB001000
Stepper Game 1 & 2: SG000363
SS chip:  (EEPROM?) 5576
DSP: 70822400 REV EA

Thanks!  I LOVE this forum!  This newbie is learning a lot here, but just extra cautious as I've already "thrown" parts at this one just to get it running!

You must have a 6-6-3 display. I don't think you can use the button to change the denom because the 6-6-3 is being recognized so it only looks for the touch pad. The button was used on the older 5-5-2 display. Your SS chip is 8576. That's a 96% RTP chip. You can ditch that and the SB001000 for a regular SB100051 Double Five Times Pay 3cm. You can then bump up the RTP % a little to about 98% max. You will need a key chip if you don't have one. It might help to change the SG363 chips to SG523 or 598. They are better suited for that enhanced MPU. You probably get some reel tilts at boot up with the 363s.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.
