Bally s6000 payout and general q's

Hey guys,  just picked up a couple s6000 machines and have a couple questions about the chips and payouts.  So the main game I'm asking about is "winning time" with the x multiplier on the 2nd reel.  This is a 5 coin machine and has smi 8237 (according to the test number(.  So when it hits i get all sorts of payouts that don't necessarily match the payouts on the glass.  I suspect that the smi may not be the correct one (as the other machine i picked up had a 3 coin smi while the glass was 2coin). So is my hunch correct that the chip is the wrong one or does this game have odd numbered payouts that aren't listed? Sorry if these sounds like silly questions.
