So I have a V22, worked great until the batteries died. I replaced all the batteries, and threw in my clear (335 CF). I get to the part where you turn the key to start the clear, but turning the key does nothing. I unhooked the reset key and tried a different reset switch, but no luck. I touched the wires together, no luck. I unplugged the attendant switch hardess from the backplane and put a jumper on, no luck.

I've used 335 before to clear with no issues. Any thoughts on why it won't clear?

You replaced the batteries, including a the one on the backplane? Did you try reseating the clear card and trying again? Try touching the monitor to see if the touch screen responds.

You jumpered the backplane with no effect, so this rules out the key circuit. I found this additional information attached for when jumpering the backplane switch connection doesn't work.

Is your CPU an Alpha 2 in that cabinet? You are using an Alpha 1 ram clear. You need an alpha 2 ram clear.

The clear card is a 335. I've used it in this machine in the past with no issues. I have 2 335 CF cards, neither worked. They did work in another machine, so it's not a bad clear card

230311A is Alpha 2 clear card. You can use the install card but will also need the game card.

I don't have a game CF or OS. Those spots are empty. Games are on a hard drive. I've only had to ram clear the machine once since I've had it, to add a tito. I used Clear 335 CF. Worked perfectly

Well I just tried to clear a A2 22/22 with 335 A1 clear card and it does NOT work. You need 230311A A2 clear card.

As you stated, your operating system and software are on the hard drive. You only need a clear card. A ram clear is always needed after changing batteries, then you just go through the setup menu and configure the game.

InstallFlash is how you install new games or upgrade the OS on your CPU

So it's good to have it, but I don't need it right now. I changed the batteries, just want to clear the machine and set it back up with the games that are on it already. Just asking if the clear card i found is the right one before I purchase it

Yes, and yes. 230311A aka AVOCLEAR360-00 is Bally Alpha 2 clear

If you did not get the CF or USB drive with the game installation files, do not use the install card as you may accidentally wipe the drive clean. If you ever want to change games on your machine, you will need to source a blank SSD and install an OS and the new game using the install cf plus the OS card and game card/USB drive. The bally 2 pro's install the game on the ssd, you do not run them from CF cards, so the games kits are sold as a kit with the OS/Game and install cards from the manufacturer. For us regular folks, we typically buy the game and OS install cards/USB flash drives and use the install cf card (separate from the game/os install cards/USB Drives). After installing the os and game into the SSD you no longer need the game/os cards anymore to use the game. But you would need them if something happens to the ssd or you wiped the ssd to install something else and want to install the original game back

So I did get it up and running using the Clear. However, I'm back to the old problem I had where I can't get the deck centered, nor can I get the top screen centered. I tried the adjustment buttons on the back of the monitor, but that didn't help.

How are your VGA cables connected? You should have the main monitor and 2nd screen in the video cards. Your ideck VGA should be connected to the the CPU on the top port (not video card). Your video topper should be connected the CPU bottom port.

I have my VGA in reverse. My i-deck is plugged into the bottom port, topper the top port.
