No power to my JCM WBA 13 SS

I have no power to my JCM WBA 13 SS; it works on another machine.  Just getting ready to start probing.  Does anyone know which backplane connect provides power and the interface?

Make sure the dipswitch is set to JCM WBA to enable the BV.

Found a loose wire at the JBILL connector on the backplane.  Takes new $1,10, and 20s and old $10,20, and 100s.  i see upgrade chips on eBay for $21 to $33.  Any experience?

So the only thing it isn’t taking is $5?
If I understand what you are saying that doesn’t sound like an update issue, that sounds like $5 bill sensitivity.
Verify the jumpers are not set to reject $5 bills.
Wipe the lens with a cloth damp with only water, no cleaners. My Bally GM is very very sensitive to $5 bills and sometimes I swear it has something wrong but if I wipe the lenses it starts working.

For newer bills, it doesn’t take $5, 50 and 100s. A second GM only takes $1 and 20s. Would like both updated. I don’t have many old $100 sitting around!

Ok that makes sense. Your post said “ Takes new $1,10, and 20s and old $10,20, and 100s. “

Not taking anything new except $1 makes total sense and indicates a head that needs to be updated. Or replaced.

Does yours take a removable eprom? Does it look like the same chip? I have no experience personally but I do seem to recall that some use a removable EPROM and others have a non-replaceable type. You can ask the seller on ebay about it.

The odd number units 11,13 etc use eproms, the even number units 10,12 etc have to be flashed.  They also need to be the correct IDO for machine they are going to be used in.
