Bally S6000 series machine error code 55

Keep getting an error code 55 on my bally s6000 machine. It's saying the cash box isn't seated, but its all the way in. The door switch has been bypassed also for the cash box. I've cleaned toe optos on the back of the bill validator and still no dice. Can this machine have the validator disconnected?

You can disable the BV by changing the dipswitch DS2 switches #5 and #6 ON. Then do a clear for the changes to be applied.

Does the BV cycle when you turn the power on and also when you remove and reinstall the cashbox? Can you post a picture of the DS2 on the MPU showing the switch settings?

It works with coins now and im good with it. It was working fine and 1 day took the cash box out and never worked right again. It was doing its cycle and looked like It would go into an accept mode. But closed the door and kept getting code 55.. Just wanted it to work so it being disabled is fine with me.
