Accidentally broke my dad's S9000 game card ... oops

I wanted to do a good deed and figured I'd back up the OS and game card for my dad's Blazing 7s slot machine (ASGBL73317UI-00)
Turns out, my first instinct of plugging the CF cards into his PC may have irreversibly corrupted the MBR of the game card
I later went to a Linux-based PC to back them up and realized after plugging them back into the machine, I started getting an "authentication of game flash failed" error
I made a mistake and I'm worried it'll be an expensive mistake, and after staying up all night trying to reverse engineer the cards and the computer inside I'm left to believe I'm either gonna need to dump the EPROM to try recovering the validation key (not guaranteed to work, I'd have to buy a shift register too) or just buy a replacement card (too much $$)
I ran into another post here saying it's related to the MBR but I tried to fix it from there to no avail
Anything else I should try? Here's a screenshot of the start of my compactflash card dumps (MBR), note that they are not good dumps because of this issue occuring

See this post.  There are 4 bytes that windows adds so the system recognizes the removable media the next time it is inserted.
