New BB2E issues!! Please help!

Hi guys,

I just picked up a new to me BB2E!  This one was right out of a casino, and nothing was gone through, but I was up for the challenge.  Charles and I worked on this for hours last night!  The final hurdle that I’m up against is with the BV.  The BV is an MEI/Mars.  It makes noise powering up, but it flashes a red light 5 times.  I try to configure a game, and I get:

BillVal Com Error
BillVal System Error

Any idea what those mean?  I’ve reseated the head and the cash can.  That’s about it.  Does this need flashed?  No other errors.  I think once I’m past this, I’ll be ready to play it!

Thanks.  Somebody said I can disable RFID.  Anybody know what that is and how to do it?

You'd have to get the MEI CashFlow STS Downloader program, plug a printer-style cord (Type-B USB port) into the front of the head, turn OFF/disable the RFID Easitrax in the settings and you'll be good to go.

The RFID tags are white adhesive circular patches they stick into the bottom of the cashboxes - inside.
The technology works similar to RFID anti-theft tags on store items.
Only difference is the ones in the your cashboxes use an ID number.
Casinos would put another numbered tag on the outside of the cashboxes that were machine specific..in other words, you couldn't swap cashboxes between machines.
