Trouble Trying To Post To A Forum

Yesterday I attempted to post to the other Reel Games Forum with a queston on a Jennings slot machine.

My first attempt failed because I attached a file that was too large.

I resized the file and made a second attempt at posting.  This time I got a message back that the NLG website was not responding and my Firefox browser game me an option to Retry.  I clicked on that button and got a message back from that I had previously submitted that post and this was a duplicate. 

So I logged off and expected to eventually see my post.  But it is not there today.

Where can I go or who do I need to message with to figure out what is going on?

Sometimes after you get that kind of response, you just have to start all over again. When I get that, I immediately copy my post so I don't have to write it all over.
In your case, you have to start over. Try again!  :yes:
But please post it the new forum set up for antique mechanical slots.

Ok....I just tried to post again and got the same error as my 2nd try.....my browser (Firefox) is telling me the the NewLifeGames server returned a 500 error code.

I don't understand why I can't post.....while I haven't done so recently, in the past I have posted successfully many times.

What do you suggest?

Go to settings, then click from the menu (left side) - privacy and security. From there, clear your browsing data.

I still get the file too large even if its less than 1MB. I have to resize like shorttrackskater recommends, set one of the dims on your resize utility to less than 1000.

I open the photo with the ol' Windows Paint program, re-size one side (Horizontal or Vertical) to 1,000 Pixels, and save it to my desktop.
Now I have newly, resized photo file that will fit into the post.

Another way to do it, is to email the photo to yourself...you'll have an option to make the photo smaller.
Save that phot file to your desktop, to attach to your post.

If you're using a smartphone, I don't know how to edit photos  :scratch-head_2:...I'll leave someone else to explain that.  :yes:
Maybe that's where you email the photo to yourself to make it smaller?

Ok.....not sure what is going on here.

I have successfully resized the photo I am trying to attach and that got me by the complaint of too large of an attachment.

Every attempt to post after that gives me a message back that the NLG website has returned a 500 error.

I have tried two different browsers (Firefox and Edge), I have cleared by browser history on Firefox as was suggested but I keep getting the same result.

I guess it is time to try the ultimate Windows fix....reboot my laptop.

Microsoft Edge started giving me errors on just about everything 4 years ago and I haven’t used it since. I had no idea Firefox was still around, I recently found the app on my ipad and removed it thinking it was obsolete. NLG is no Spring chicken so it seems like it should run on them.

Well I’ll be darned….Mozilla is still updating Firefox, I had no idea. Good to know.
I too use Safari on my Ipad for virtually everything.

I have to eat my words, my Win 11 PC has Edge on it. I honestly had no idea it was Edge, I just click on the logo. I rarely use a PC for anything other than shipping or writing eproms.

I learned so much today.

If you have win10 click on the three dots (...)(more) on top left when you have the pic on screen you want to resize then choose resize.
