Bally E2091-84

There is a non-working Bally E2091-84 machine for sale in my area.  Sorry I don't currently have any details about what the machine does when turned on.  I may be able to get it for $200.

Are parts available at a reasonable price for these machines and is $200 a reasonable price for a non-working machine that is in good cosmetic condition?   As you can see, it has special door glass.  It was a gift to an Air Force General and his wife.

You need to find out the details on operating condition. If you buy it as is, you may open it up and find mice have/had moved in, chewing all the wiring, and peeing all over the inside.
OR... you may find it just needs a little TLC to function.
Member "Badbaud" repairs these machines and carries parts. Other members can help and may have parts as well.
It's strongly recommended you get more information, and post a photo of the inside.  :yes:

I had to make a quick decision on the machine or lose it to another buyer.  I drove 92 miles, one way, to check it out.  Very clean, all lights worked but the coin comparator was jammed with coins and other junk.  I decided to go ahead and take a chance.

Got it home and started going through it.  Unjammed the coin comparator, fixed a broken wire on one of the plugs and got it to partially working.  The reel would spin but not stop.  Removed the reel assembly and found that the solenoids and associated linkage were bound up.  Used some PB Blaster penetrating oil on all the pivot points, worked everything free and lubed.  Put it back in and everything worked great.

I'm glad I took a chance because it turned out to be a great addition to my collection. 

The machine was a thank you gift to USAF General Robert Russ and his wife.  The belly glass was special made by Sunkist Graphics.
