Help find out what model this is and wire diagram as has a fault

I have just got this Bally one arm bandit and can not work out what model this is and has a few faults as well like when putting in a coin  is does not seem to play but once i got it and do not know how on free play with out using a coin and would also pay out when needed so not sure what is up with it if some one could help please

looks like one of the models made specifically for the UK market with change function ... e.g. model 783.

except it wasn't made that way by bally.  The hold buttons are misaligned and on a metal plate that was added.  You'd got a modified machine, so it may not match any bally paperwork or be even close.

got more pictures of the inside?  Anything written in black marker on the pieces?  Any codes stamped into the slotted reel index discs?

pull out the reel mech (flip down the two levers and pull) and take a pic of the left side and inside the cabinet where it was.

ideally turn reel 1 so the code on the slotted metal index disc is visible.

a pic of the payout counter on the hopper would also help showing the m-645-xxx number on the contact plate.

I don't have a lot of info on the UK machines, but do have a few schematics that may or may not help.

sorry for the late reply I have been away for a few days I have updated the link with some more pictures and emailed you as well. How do you turn the reels on there own so I can see where the number on them might be ?

Gently pull back on the spring loaded arm and hold it so that it's away from the slot on the index disk and then the reel can spin freely by hand.

I guess the "sir prize" text on the label in the picture answers what the machine probably started life as ... some version of model 783.

however, it's been modified, so the original schematic is more of a hint on how things may be wired up.

main differences from a 783 appear to be:

1] the hold function is random and controlled by an added motor/cams assembly.
2] you don't get 2 spins per coin, tho the multiple step unit is still there and could support it ... that unit replaced the coin relay
3] the change function is for different coin denominations
4] the reel tapes and payout counter disc have been changed

on the bright side, the modifications have simplified a few things, and with a bit of luck the basic circuits where the problem probably lies haven't been changed too much so the schematic for a 783 can help.

the key question at the moment is whether the coin is being rejected back to the tray (coin lockout control issue) or is the game eating the coin but not tripping the handle release relay.
