I need to build a base for my Universal Slot machine. What is a good height to make it from the floor? Should the reels be eye level standing? or maybe I should base the height off of a chair for it?


I'm thinking I'll make it out of 2x4s and 2x8s I have already. I don't really have the skills or tools for metal working.

A standard slot base is between 18” - 19” high. You don’t want it much higher especially if you are going to have any machines with tall toppers on them. You want the reels to be about eye level when you are sitting down in a regular height chair.

I just built this three slot stand over the weekend, I think it turned out nice. Easy to build, not very expensive and really sturdy.

I picked up this stand from Uline for $105 with free shipping.  Fits the BB3 perfectly 24x18 It just needs a black paint job and a hole for the power cord.  It is very sturdy and adjustable.

One of my machines came with an actual stand. Two sit on an old school desk. And the last is a rolling table saw cart with some left over granite......
