igt pe+ slant top game board help

hi every one no sure where to post my question i am new here already got a lot help with my wba 11 problem
new question is can any one tell me is this board missing a chip or is complete and can i try in a machine (came out of a nonworking machine)
i am new to poker machines and don't know much about them so i am afraid to try don't want to mess with a working game

Yaaay!  I might be able to help someone this time...

I just ID'd my boards which look practically identical to this board.

Its a Players Edge + SUPERBOARD, ( I was told the row of resistors was vital to ID of the superboards) ...

When I got mine, I had two with the same amount of chips you got, but each with a single game installed. There is a program slot, and that chip should be the particular game. Then you can get a multigame setup installed. I would talk to BrianT he might help get you more games if needed.

But from the looks of it, you should be able to play whatever game chip thats already installed... try in a known good machine to test of course...

A multi board setup requires chips n both of those sockets.

As far as I have seen even a multi board that only has one game requires both chips for the board to work.

Check your battery voltage also.

I believe he's right.  I'm almost positive you need that data chip.  What error are you getting with the game?

You only need a DATA chip for certain chipsets. Not every PE+ game requires a DATA chip.

Also of note, the original post in this thread is from February and the original poster has not replied to anything in this thread since then.
