Can someone please help me with the correct way to change the pay out % I bought a slot machine from a guy and he had it set for 98% pay out. It pays out all the time but in small amounts. I changed it to 85% pay out but nothing changed as far as pay out. Do I need to use the clear chip to clear something first. Then use the key chip. ?? And if so what do I clear. I have never used the clear chip before. I am afraid that I might clear the hole machine then I will be screwed. Can that happen. Do you have a Key and Clear chip? I can email the procedure. By the way, welcome and congratulations! I like to change games every few months. Did you know that you can buy game kits for your machine? They come with glass, game chip, and reel strips. When you make a change to your game you MUST clear all credits on the machine. (cash out all credits). There is a lot of info here. Read up and you pretty much can't hurt these machines except working on a machine with the power on. Then you can fry components and boards which can be replaced. Have fun and hope the fun of working on these is as much fun as playing them!

You can search the stickies and find procedure to clear or make changes to the machine. You should only have to perform a KEY procedure to make changes and not a CLEAR procedure. Just be sure that you have no credits on the machine or it will not take.
