WTB top chrome bracket from a bb1.5 machine.

I am trying to convert a regular 16" top machine to a bb1.5.  I got everything done, except the top chrome bracket in the topbox.  The original one is not tall enough to accomodate the screen, and also is too shallow to allow for the back of the monitor.  Here's a picture of my current situation.  I think it is just the top chrome piece that is different.  Everything else lines up correctly.

There is no such part.  You have to cut the chrome using a grinder or industrial Dremel.   


This is what it looks like done.   


Also you have to have the right monitor.  It's a really tight fit. I moved all of mine over to a NEC monitor. 


#1- you don't have to cut the chrome
#2- it doesn't draw from the power supply which wasn't designed to have a top monitor.

Other than the factory Kristel - the ceronix models are CPA 3079 and CPA 3080. 


I've tried over 20 monitors and like the NEC the best for the top box.  (For picture quality and price) -  the PVA monitors look best but are 2x the price.

You are talking about a 22 inch widescreen conversion.  I'm not doing that.  I'm using dual 19" monitors for a bb1.5 conversion.

For a 19" monitor WMS did make a plastic chrome look alike part that is extended for the top box.

I did the NEC route on the bb1 I converted to dual BB2 widescreen.  This is one is for a bb1.5 since I had both monitors as part of other kits and things I have acquired through the years.  I figure I would build out a 1.5 machine.
