Does the part number on the white sticker end in 3800 or 01/02

Definately appears to be a 3800 series in any case. Is there a reason you need to know the specific type? Are you trying to resolve an issue?

dose any one know what key chip to use so i can get into the config menu?????

i have tryed 31 17 27 40

none seem to get me into the config menu...

any help...

Been there, done that...

See the lock and the wires?  You need a privilege key, used while in the operator menu, and then the privilege menu pops up.
There ain't no key gonna work, even if you put it in a 3902 board.

I found out the hard way trying to run this old software:

I didn't have a key so I took the lock apart and turn the wheel with long nose pliers.

Whatever software you have for the 3800 board is probably very poor by today's standards.  Pick up 4.3 software, very cheap and a keychip will work.

 :agreepost:   Some of the older software did require the key for privileged options to be setup.  The OP's pic didn't show any software on the board so you can't tell if he needs a key or not.
