Touch Screen Not Working

I picked up a 19” WMS LCD for my BB1 and for the life of me I cannot get the touch screen to work.

I have pulled the cover off the back and the plugs are all connected.

Is there any other troubleshooting or tips on what I should check?

On my old LCD the touch screen works fine.

Do these go bad?

Do you get a touch screen communication error?  If not then the machine is sensing that the controller is there.   The connection between the touch screen and the controller is the most likely problem or just a defective controller.  I presume you are using a monitor made for the Bluebird.  What brand of monitor is this?

Hello Jeff,

No communication error, it's a Kristel 19" monitor, LCD19-011 with a WMS sticker so I assume it would work on a BB.

Looks like it's an issue with the controller as you mentioned.  I have checked all of the plugs/cables and everything is plugged in.

When I swap in a different monitor there are no issues.

Found the issue, the touch screen cable is broke, looks like I will need to replace the touch screen.

Send it back to whoever you got it from.  That doesn't happen over night by itself.
