Jim,  I have heard out the Ying-Yang there is plenty of folks that would like for you to pull All the glass,strips,aux-vfd's,guts, top box modules etc. from these.  How many do you have left?. Have to be good dough to ruin a good game-?.

Call Champagne Logistics. They'll pick it up from Jim and deliver to your doorstep!!  No loading docks, palleting or crating required!!!   Get Jim's ZIP code, then call Champagne to get a quote. You can pay them with a CC over the phone for the shipping, or have it shipped freight collect. That way Jim doesn't have to mess with shipping payment, etc. They're a little higher in price, but they move everything by HAND. No fork trucks to smash up your equipment. They wrap everything in blankets and offer full insurance. We use them exclusively for our Jukeboxes, pinballs and other delicate equipment.

North American Van Lines Specialized Transportation also offers this service.  They send two men with a liftgate truck, simply shrink wrap/pad, and it's on it's way with no prep required by the seller.  Have used them for years now with great success.

Anyone have the average cost of this service versus regular trucking service? Is it 20% more? 30%?
If I had to pay $300 for this versus $225 for regular then Jim's Machines are still a good buy for me, but if I had to pay half again the cost of the machine then maybe not so much. I know it depends on the specific situation and what dollar amounts are involved, just wondering what the average cost difference is between the two. Sizzler had some very good deals a short while back with the same "come and get it" disclosure and I have every bit of respect for people who can't or don't want to deal with palletizing for shipment. For $300, as an example price, I may have bought a few other machines over the years, but for $500 even some machines I do have, would never have seen the inside of my house.

Rates for Specialized Transportation I can share.  1500 miles is the minimum move.  Expect to pay around 370.00 for this 1500 mile minimum.  One end of the states to the other, shipping more like 450.00.


Here is the nice part!  Slots are so small, they ship two for the price of one!  So let's say you ship two for 400.00, that is 200.00 per machine.  Not all that bad for the full service.  And they deliver it to your driveway.  Have used them to ship over 6-70 times now over the last 15 years, mostly arcade games, but also slots when I see a "pick up only" Craigslist ad for something 8 states away I cannot,live without, LOL.
