Help with Bally m9000 (newbie)

Go to ballytech's site to game search (link below) and select Cabinet type M9000 or the V20 and Market/Class Class 3.  The V20 titles will play, but the aspect ratio will be off, as it will be squeezed, but it will work.

Awesome news. I bought some new tickets from Spin Inc. they came very fast and were extremely well priced. I put the new tickets in my machine and they printed out clear as can be. They also were read fast and easily by my bill validator. I now have a 100% working machine and I'm very happy with it! Thank you to everyone that helped me along the way! The only thing I need to do now is find a list of games for my machine and make my collection bigger!

Thank you for that help, I went to the site and found a lot of games that I would like to acquire in the future. When looking at software online (here, eBay, etc.) is there a way I can tell if that particular software will work with my machine? As in, should the software number always start with AVG or??? Thank you in advance.

Be very careful on Bally's website. That information isn't always correct but a good idea of what is needed. The problem is that it doesn't list if the game needs an Alpha 1 or Alpha 1 - 1gig board or Alpha 2. It's listing what is available for the cabinet. M9000 is a cabinet, not the platform in the machine. Also, if you upgrade your MPU to a 1gig board with expandable memory (I highly recommend this!!!) It opens up the flood gates for more Alpha 1 titles! Even some games that were released this year you can play!


Bottom line, if you find a game that you want to play in your slower MPU, the best advice I can give you is look for the date on the CF Game Card to be 2009 or less. Card size 512 or less.


When you upgrade to the 1gig board, then you have to worry about those games that are Alpha 2 only games and are NOT backwards compatible.
