s2000 no boot and displays netplex is down

Trying to revive a S2000 triple red hot 7’s machine and may have killed by enhanced board. Key chipped it and had door open M and printer error. Stopped and finished another S2000 and restarted on the first one. I think that I may have pulled the board out while the power was on. None the less, I came up with displays netplex is down error. The lights read

1.   Blinking red
2.   Green
3.   Amber
4.   Amber
5.   Flashing amber
6.   Amber
7.   Green
8.   Green

I have tried to chip it again with no avail. Tried clearing it again but had the same result. I have removed and returned both batteries and they seem to be fine. Still no boot up and have the same issues.

This is my only enhanced board so I have no backups

Have you checked the green battery under the legacy adapter or R board? It has to be charged for the game to run when an enhanced 1270 MPU is used

Swap power supplies if you have a known working power supply handy.

we have had this problem on quite a few of our CPU's and the green battery that is soldered on under the daughter board needs to be replaced, so use a soldering gun and remove the old battery and then take a new one and solder it back on and you should be good to go.

Both batteries have been replaced and the power supply is good. I think that I may have found what my problem is. There is a special key chip for the R board that I was unaware of( RBK00001). That is why my other key chip failed. Once I have the chip then I will give it a try it out and report the results.

Post a picture of your board and software.  I'll tell you if it needs the RBK or not.

Here is a photo of the board. Let me know if it will require a special chip. Without knowing about the RBK chip, I had attempted to key the machine with key 31 to no avail. Let me know what you think.

That is NOT a R board/  also  check for a leg out on one of those chips, or bent pin on 1 of the 2 plugs

Yeah you need a key 31 for that one.  I would try the IVC full clear first to remove all data including player tracking or anything else but the key 31 should do it.  If that's not working, sounds like you might have another problem besides your ram clear.
