IGT S2000 Win Lights not working on reels

Forgive me if this has been covered but a search brought me nothing. I have an S2000 that is 5 reel with LED. The lights are lit on the reels but the reels do not bling the win when you hit something. Has the reel light controller gone bad? Looking for advice before buying a bunch of parts.

Was this a working machine that went bad or did you get it this way? And are the led's user installed lamps or factory boards?

What theme is it?  Not all 5 reel s2000 themes blink the winning line.  I had this issue a few years back and as soon as I changed the theme, the blinking was back.  So it depends on the theme.

But with LED reels normally the lights aren't on except for winning lines whether they blink or not

Hey Rob These are factory LED reels. And they were working previously.  And for Rick the came is butterfly sevens. The Machine is my brothers that I bought for him a few years back. Although I don't remember he swears the lights lit up and blinked the win.

Tommy, first thing I'd look at if they were working and failed on a personal machine would be reseating all plugs and the cabinet IO card. If that doesn't work then I would suspect a failed backlight control board

You should perform the Reel backlight test in the diagnostic menu to see if the lights work in the diagnostic.  If they don't, then I would try another backlight controller.

Thanks guys will start with these options first. I haven't really touched machines in so long I am drawing a blank other than that control board but I thought it was weird that the lights worked at all.
